Love this place . This time we went to Bethesda Guapo's. Food is always delicious . Tried their passion fruit Margarita . Best drink ever . Their free salsa and chips are fresh and tasted so yummy . We went with friends . I ordered steak and chicken fajitas and fried calamari. Calamari was soft inside super crunchy outside . Fajita was full of flavor and tasty . Going back soon .

Just like other similar businesses, I have been frequenting Guapo's Bethesda for a number of years. The amazing (over the top, a bit gaudy, but still amazing!) indoor Southwest decor sucks you right into the world of Tex Mex. Then, as you wait for your table, you can smell homemade chips and tortillas being made. Sizzling fajitas being served. The smell alone is worth coming here! Most recently, I dined here with my family and my in-laws; it was a celebratory occasion, as I had just been extended an amazing job offer! I made reservations in advance since it was for a Friday evening (I would recommend making a reservation if it's for the weekend, as Guapo's tends to fill up quickly). We had our own little dining area, which was perfect! The seat was right by the window, and we were also in a corner; that always makes it easier to hear everyone at the table. Our waitress, Paula, was nothing but smiles. She provided superb customer service from beginning to end; we never had to ask for anything - from more chips and salsa to drink refills - and that made our experience that much more memorable. Here is what everyone ordered to eat: Guapomole, two types of ceviche (both sensational), steak burrito, steak chimichanga, carne asada fajitas, portobello mushroom enchiladas, and a seasonal pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. For drinks: coconut pineapple lemonade, mango smoothie, passion fruit daiquiri (non-alcoholic), and a couple of Mexican cokes. From the perfect sweetness in the lemonade, the freshness of the Guapomole and the sizzle of the steak with the fajitas, every single item we ordered was cooked and prepared to perfection. Seriously: it was one of the best meals I've ever had. Please, I implore you to check this place out. My one piece of advice: wear something stretchy. Between the chips and your entree, you will be extremely full when you leave.

We walked in and was greeted by friendly staff. I ordered the seafood Burrito and my man ordered the Pescado en Salsa Cancun. Everything was seasoned great! Our drinks were pina colada and mango Margarita and they were so tasty! Definitely be back even if it's just for drinks!

Food is great, much better than the Rio location, but service could use improvement. Nearly every time I go to Guapo's in Bethesda, I have to wait like 15-20 minutes for our server to come around each time I need something as simple as a refill or a sauce. It's certainly less busy than the Rio location.

I decided to check out this place after one of the workers was actively inviting hotel guest to check them out. It was conveniently located next tot he Bethesda hotel. I was quickly seated and the wait staff took my order. Chips and salsa was provided free of charge. The salsa was pretty tasty an the margarita was great as a nice addition. Nothing like a margarita along with your Mexican food. I ordered the Taco and Enchilada meal. The food was flavorful and there was plenty of food. The shells had a good texture and the meat was well seasoned. I excluded the refried beans and replaced them with the black beans. The food was great and the wait staff was attentive and friendly. This is a great spot to check out if you are in the are and in the mood for some Mexican food.
